I’ve just got back from London, UK, where I had the opportunity to visit two great photo exhibitions. If you are in the area, don’t miss them.
Here are all the details:
Vanity Fair Portraits - Photographs 1913 - 2008
National Portrait Gallery, open daily 10.00 - 18.00 (thursday and friday until 21.00)
Entrance £10
That’s really a great exhibition of 150 portraits of famous people appeared on Vanity Fair. You’ll have the opportunity to admire photos of some of the greatest portraitists of our times, like Annie Leibovitz, Mario Testino and Helmut Newton.
Don’t miss the catalogue ($25).
Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year
Natural History Museum, open daily 10.00 - 17.50
Entrance £7
The Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year is a competition aimed to choose, every year since the 60s, the best wildlife photos of the year. If you cannot visit the exhibition, have a look at the stunning images in the online gallery.
A final suggestion: both the exhibitions are very popular, so if you plan to visit them in the weekend, be sure to arrive late in the morning (at 10, ideally) to avoid the crowd!
